If only we all had courage like the Hobbits. Although they revel in their seemingly frivolous life of 11 meals a day, lavish parties, and enjoyable relaxation, they're actually surprising and hearty creatures. Perhaps that's the reason Gandalf is always coming after the Baggins family whenever he needs help saving Middle Earth. Hobbits are surprisingly courageous beings. While they're not as whimsical as the elves, they're the race I'd chase down in the unknown. Samwise Gamgee may be hypnotized by the elves, but I, Jes Kessenheimer, would be more interested in spending more time with the Hobbits (as I'm sure many LOTR fans would agree).
